Description

Description: An NIH-funded study of the genetics of recurrent pregnancy loss, overseen by John

Hopkins University, in collaboration with the Yale cytogenetics lab. This study involves performing whole-genome sequencing for no cost on mothers and fathers who have experienced multiple miscarriages. Tissue samples are also submitted from any available euploid pregnancy losses for WGS. All clinically relevant results are shared with participants.

Specific Aims

In addition to collecting data to the main project, the additional purpose of this study is to examine the clinical characteristics of patients whose products of conception were found to be euploid after analysis by the University of Chicago cytogenetics lab and to determine the percentage of RPL cases that are unexplained after medical evaluation in a large urban hospital.

Methods

This is a retrospective study based on records obtained from the University of Chicago cytogenetics laboratory.
