Maternal-fetal surgery centers commonly focus on providing prenatal intervention in the setting of congenital anomalies. However, many individuals presenting to care at these centers decide to proceed with an abortion. To date, there are scant data to understand whether abortion services are provided on site or the referral patterns of maternal-fetal surgery centers to freestanding or hospital-based abortion centers.
1. To assess the frequency of abortion provision on site at maternal-fetal surgery centers
2. To assess the referral patterns for abortion provision to either freestanding abortion clinics or hospital-based abortion services
3. To assess whether there is a difference in referral patterns for abortion services based on hostile v. permissive legislation pertaining to abortion in the state the maternal-fetal surgery center is located
This study will be comprised of a survey to all North American Fetal Therapy Network sites in the U.S.
