Description

We are seeking students interested in participating in Otolaryngology research. We have a range of projects from retrospective chart reviews to prospective studies. Current research topics include outcomes after common pediatric ENT surgeries, medical education projects, such as optimizing the surgical informed consent process, and pediatric ENT trauma. The exact project will be designed to fit the interest of the medical student. We fully expect that this will result in an abstract at a national meeting.

Specific Aims

The specific project will be catered towards the student's interest. Example of current research aims include socioeconomic status and pediatric adenotonsillectomy outcomes, social media and ear infections, couples matching in Otolaryngology.

There is no experience required. The focus will be on hypothesis generation and data analysis either using retrospective or prospective data. Students are welcome to shadow different realms of ENT while doing their research.
